  1. NYANDARUA INSTITUTE (THE NYANDARUA NATIONAL POLYTECHNIC) invites applications from interested, eligible, capable individuals and firms for TENDERS OF SUPPLY AND  DELIVERY OF CABRO MATERIAL.
  2. The tender documents containing the submission information, detailed terms and conditions may be obtained from NYANDARUA INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY upon payment of a non- refundable fee of kshs.1, 000 AT ACCOUNTS  OFFICE OR FREE download from Public Procurement Information Portal (PPIP PORTAL)/Institute website(www.nyandaruainstitute.ac.ke). Tender submission closing date is TUESDAY 12TH January 2021 at 10.00am. NB: after download of the document please send notification to the institute email for  record purposes. 
  3. Completed tender documents are to be enclosed in a plain sealed envelope indicating: – “TENDER NUMBER” and “TENDER NAME” and be deposited in the TENDER BOX situated at ADMINISTRATION BLOCK or be addressed to:  THE CHIEF PRINCIPAL NYANDARUA INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY P.O. BOX 2033-20300 NYAHURURU 
  4. To be received on or before TUESDAY 12TH JANUARY 2021 . Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter at INSTITUTES BOARD ROOM in the presence of tenderers’ or representatives who choose to attend.

NIST IS NOW THE NYANDARUA NATIONAL POLYTECHNIC

NIST has now been elevated to the level of a national Polytechnic namely: The Nyandarua National Polytechnic.

This is the only National Polytechnic in Nyandarua county. Elevation of NIST to a national Polytechnic will benefit the sorrounding community in terms of having accessible higher technical education, expansion of businesses and promoting ethnic diversity.

Very many changes will occur including increased student and trainer population, more courses, more and better facilities, just to mention a few.

NIST COVID-19 PREPAREDNESS

As an institute, NIST is committed to ensure the health of our staff and trainees. To achieve this to the maximum, NIST has put measures into place to ensure that COVID-19 does not spread among staff and trainees according to government’s guidelines on containment of COVID-19.

There are several waterpoints at the gate entrance to allow as many people as possible to wash their hands as they enter the institution. The water points are installed with clean running water and soap. They also have easily operable foot pedals. The same foot pedal operated water points have been erected in men’s hostels and ladies’ hostels.

NYANDARUA INSTITUTE intends to register and update its suppliers list hence invites applications from interested, eligible, capable and competent firms for supply and delivery of GOODS, WORKS, SERVICES, AND CONSULTANCY; for the
years 2020-2021 & 2021-2022.

Pursuant to Section 57 and 71 of the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act 2015, NIST wishes to update list of registered suppliers, contractors and consultants in various specific categories of goods, works and services. In order to be considered for procurement opportunities, interested firms are required to submit registration application documents for the specified category/ies.

Registration document are downloaded free of charge from NIST website: nyandaruainstitute.ac.ke or from the public procurement information portal(ppip): www.tenders.go. OR obtained from NYANDARUA INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of kshs.1, 000 AT ACCOUNTS OFFICE within working hours from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

Nyandarua Institute of Science and Technology has opened a Town Campus in Nyahururu Town, Mbaria Complex 2nd floor. The town campus will offer part time and short courses including Computer Applications, Computer repair and maintenance among others.
